NDML & Noctis

Since 2004, NDML have been the appointed broker for the Noctis (formerly BEDA) Insurance scheme.

This alliance came about in response to rising premiums and increasing uncertainty of cover and is a member's only insurance scheme. The scheme is based on a core of socially responsible operations and has already saved Noctis members £1000's. Noctis represents late night operators across the UK - working with central and local government and the police to secure a better trading environment for our members. Noctis give operators both practical support through advice, information, and good practice initiatives as well as a good deal of political advocacy - working closely with government and key stakeholders - nationally and locally.

How are my insurance premiums calculated?

Generally speaking insurance premiums are calculated on a trade wide basis with insurers setting their own premium guides across all applicants within a given sector. These guide premiums are then adjusted to reflect the individual characteristics for each specific proposer, for Night Club insurance the following areas would be considered.

• Good levels of physical security, good levels of fire protections and detection system
• Proven and documented approach to health and safety
• Good trading and claims history
