NDML at NTIA’s Ambassador of the Night Awards 2025

Our team at NDML attended The Ambassador of the Night Awards 2025 in London’s Hippodrome Casino. The event celebrated those who have given their all to the community, and those who are passionate about the welfare of the British nightlife sector.

Ambassadors are recognised for their dedication, creativity and influence. They continue to raise the bar and pull in support for the nightlife economy. The winners were from a broad range of disciplines; featuring activists, business founders, event runners, DJs, barristers and legal experts. These new ambassadors are the sum of every symbiotic part of the industry and demonstrate the diversity and expansiveness of nightlife.

Ambassadors of the Night and The Nightlife Revolution

The NDML team attended to join in celebrating the brightest advocates for our nighttime industry. We also captured the thoughts and feelings of many of the award winners and guests at the event. Our new campaign – The Nightlife Revolution – was on full display, with many casino patrons and event guests congratulating the message of the campaign –  To Get Britian Talking about Nightlife.

Our interviews asked only one question – “What are the main challenges facing the nightlife industry in this moment?”.

Answers (from guests, industry leaders and award winners) were varied and detailed. Many commented on the reduced business rates relief and VAT, which will have a devastating impact upon our industry. Dr Charisse Beaumont from Black Lives in Music discussed with us the need for representation and better support for the black community within the sector. This was our second NightlifeRevolution interview with Steven Braines after previously meeting the HE.SHE.THEY founder in Birmingham; he changed his answer to discussing new artists and the home for grassroots music. Leo Charalambides discussed licensing and how we need to reformat the complexity of the current system. Karl Verboten commented on international and European differences to the UK, and how state sponsored nightclubs could be an option. Whereas DJ Nikki Beatnik spoke on the power of people and how we should all be ready to fight for what we love, that being late night experiences.

The entire evening at The Hippodrome Casino was a testament to what we can achieve when we unite behind culture, creativity, and community. Thought-provoking keynotes by Sacha Lord and Tom Kiehl demonstrated the influence of the UK sixth biggest economic sector. And not forgetting a surprise appearance from the one-and-only Tinie Tempah.

A congratulations to Mike Kill and Silvana Kill and all the NTIA for the special evening. Look out on The Nightlife Revolution webpage for our upcoming interviews.
